Visted October 2008 and 2009 for the autumn colour from the amazing Japanese maple (acer) collection. Whilst I prefered the more intimate atmosphere of Exbury Gardens I do think this place is something special and it has a great relaxed atmosphere and the staff are marvellous - so friendly and not at all snooty as they are at some gardens,... more

My husband and I took our four year old daughter to the evening event at the westonbirt Arboretum this winter. It's on for the three weekends before Christmas. They have a few stalls and an enchanted walk through the trees. We paid £7 each for the adults children under 5 are free, to walk through a short walk of trees... more
