We started off with a train ride which was excellent and then took a buggy tour and as I can't walk very far these days was a bonus. The gardens were very colourful and well laid out. The only down side to the day was Eddies Tea Rooms, the food was good but the service was poor (more staff were... More

Well worth a visit particularly when the Azaleas and Rhododendrons are out as they were when we visited. The Camellias were still out, but past their best. With 250 acres of grounds and 22 miles of footpath you need to allow plenty of time, tiring but well worth exploring as much as you can manage. We did it on foot... More

Every time we visit Exbury there is something different to enjoy - the flowers and foliage change and develop daily. The first time we visited this season, the buggy ride was rather spoiled by the new policy whereby there is no stopping or giving of any commentary en route. However, I'm delighted to say that on our most recent trip... More

Should you ever be in the New Forest,Hampshire,or Dorset a visit to Exbury Gardens would be high on most people's 'to do' list. Today my wife and I visited it from our timeshare residence in the New Forest for the nth time. It is always a rewarding experience but today we found a new aspect of the visit - for... More

Visited these gardens on a very rainy and chilly day in May. The welcome was warm by the lovely lady who sold us our tickets. Despite the dull day and rain the rhododendrons and azaleas colours shone out. Also on show were acers and camellias. Luckily many of the paths were hard surfaces to walk on and there were just... We had a very enjoyable day yesterday at Exbury the colours were magnificent. What made the trip was our great host in charge of the buggy "Jack Hurst" with his knowledge and humour, such an important part when most folks don't know much about the gardens. Very saddenned that this part has been stopped. After our membership runs out we... More

I have visited Exbury many times and have enjoyed it immensely. However my last visit was not so good. The main reason for this is that the tour of the gardens has been stopped and a hop on, hop off buggy ride service put in its place. The tour was invaluable as it gave the visitor lots of information about... More

We arrived mid morning and made our way to the entrance, paid and walked into the Gardens. We were very impressed by the pathways and the signposts which indicated routes to take. We did not need a map as the sign posts were so informative. The Rhododendrons were spectacular and it was nice to be able to get off the... More

Visited Exbury Gardens with a coach party from my village. Was a bit worried about how I was going to see all the gardens have to offer as I have limited walking ability. I was so delighted to see that for an additonal £4 I could be a passenger on a buggy which went almost the whole way round the... More
