My wife and I visited the New Theatre Royal as our daughter was in a dance performance. The staff were friendly, the decor retains and olde-worlde charm (pleasant, not run-down) and you felt as if you were having a private performance! We went to see the most amazing one man show called Finkelstein's Castle by Matthew Sharp. It's great to see it in this theatre as it's so intimate.

I went to see Benjamin Zephaniah at the New Theatre Royal and thought the whole experience amazing. The theatre has been renovated since I was last there, but it still has an aged feel about the place, and that only adds to the charm.
