Spent a few hours here, went by boat. Reasonably priced. Weather was lovely and had great views out to sea from the highest points. The Needles on the Isle of Wight clearly visible on a good day.

Learn all about Henry VIII and his obsession with building fortification. Hurst Castle is a 16th century defence which has been subsequently upgraded in other centuries. 19th and 20th. So it's a mish mash of styles from Blackadder 2 and 4. As a results just incredibly interesting. And the guy on the audio handset gives you the lowdown on it...

Interesting stopping place on the way to Keyhaven or Milton on sea. Interesting old castle with stories of the inhabitants from the old days who found pirate treasure washed ashore. Old carvings on the walls, and steeped in history.
