“The heart of the New Forest”

New Forest Visitor Museum is a must. Great place to go out to eat. Nearly always something happening in the community hall. Best place to park is in Centre. Avoid summer as traffic is horrendous More

The high street of Lyndhurst is currently a very noisy and polluted place where the pavements are narrow and juggernauts come lashing past. Lyndhurst is a lovely little town, perfect for tourists. There are nicer areas but if you want lots of shops, cafes and pubs/restaurants within a short walk of each other, this is a great location. We have visited Lyndhurst on several occasions over the past 30 years. We love the place. This village is in the heart of the New Forest and is considered "The Capital". I love the little shops, the tourist information centre is brilliant, the only downside is the traffic. But look past that and it a great place to stop and wander around. More
