What a lovely combination of open spaces and by the water. It was a lovely day and we took the dog and a picnic. There are barbecue areas available to hire as well. Very well maintained and a great place for a walk for the young and old alike as it is all on a fairly flat ground. More

Lovely spot ideal for long walks, yet very close to many amenities. The museum (formerly the hospital's chapel) is very interesting too. In the high season going up to the tower will probably afford magnificent views of the area, but sadly this facility is closed in the winter. More

Ideal for all ages. Perfect viewing point to watch shipping on The Solent, cycle paths, walks, playground, cricket pitch, miniature railway, cafe and above all, lots of history. There is a cemetery where soldiers who were wounded in the world wars are buried - all nationalities - and it is a very peaceful, beautiful place. You could easily spend a... More
