This informative and amazing part of our visit to the Cathedral was so histrically informative that it is the part I remember so vividly, many other items to view and excellent curator. Items are stored and brought out on rotational basis as there is not enough space to display all, I was told by staff member. Hence another visit planned. More

Cathedral lovely. but was surprised that we had to pay £6.pp. to view the Mappa Mundi, so didn,t bother, just looked at all the books and the pictures in the Library. More

There is lots of detail in the map, including amazing monsters and mythical beasts. Some are based on real animals, others are pretty bizarre - check out the 'bonnacon'... Nice displays and fabulous manuscripts. More
