A very informative museum, been going for years. When the Gladiators are there it is always good to see how the children react. More

This museum was free to visit and close to the high street, with lots of interesting artifacts. It has a 60's exhibition on which was fun as many of the toys were remembered from my childhood, good for children with hands on exhibits. More

this museum didn't take long to go round and it didn't reflect the entry fee. Wouldn't recommend it. More

There is a lot of serendipity in this museum, you are not sure what you are going to find. They run very good exhibitions about particular time-periods (wartime, the 60s etc). It relates very well to St Albans, it is not just things which they happen to have in St Albans museum, but tells the story of the city up... More

Often overlooked due to the nearby Roman museum but a very good town museum. Unsuitable for the disabled as no lift other than access to ground floor (just not good enougth is it in this day and age?). Well worth a visit for young and old - you could easily spend a half day there. Combine this with a visit... More

Lots of education about the area in Roman times. Clothes for the younger members to dress in and get into the era. Close to the centre so a full day in the town is a good idea. Nice park if the weather is good take a picnic and let the kids run around. More

I have been to this museum many years ago. What drew me back was an exhibition on the life and career of Stanley Kubrick who lived in Hertfordshire for more than 25years.All aspects of his films are covered in this comprehensive exhibition.Alas as the exhibition closes on 5th September i doubt that many people will become aware of it till after...
