We were stuck for ideas one sunday afternoon and decided on Groombridge Place. We have a young daughter and had been told it was good for kids. Its okay, and I cant give it more credit than that. Its horrendously overpriced for admission, and if this review was based on price alone I cant see how it can justify them... more

Groombridge Place makes for a fantastic day out for all ages in the most beautiful natural surroundings. The 17th century house (set for the Bennet's home in Pride & Prejudice) is closed to the public but still provides an imposing backdrop to the formal walled gardens. Had a really great day here.A bit of something for everyone , lovely gardens , nice tea room and a charming boat ride to the enchanted forest. Kids enjoyed the enchanted forest plenty to keep them busy quite a bit of walking but it is worth it, deer roam about freely plus they have a falconry too excellent. more

Groombridge place provides a good time for children and adults. Chlidren can use their imagination to create a world of their own and adults can enjoy the long walks and canal ride. For teenagers there are big swings that are fun and a thrilling experiance. The wildlife is brilliant there are bird displays and you can see deers roaming free... more

I went to Groombridge for my 20th birthday last year on a pleasant summer's day. The gardens were very well kept, with 2 small buildings to have a look at.
