Have come here a couple of times to stay in the National Trust holiday property - which was lovely and comfortable. The garden and grounds are so special and almost feel like a secret garden. The walks are very pleasant indeed. We saw red squirrels when we last went. Not too busy either unlike other places on the other side... More

The herb garden is very well... More

Acorn Bank now a National Trust property near Temple Sowerby. (so called as it was once owned by the Knights Templar ) Beautiful setting, approached through oak tree avenue ( hence the name) Wonderful Bluebell Wood walks down to the old (now restored) mill on the stream. Work still going on at the house , Acorn Bank, itself, but delightful... More
