A beautiful spot with a hop on hop off ferry going the whole way round the lake. We got off at the second stop, Hawes End, and had a 2.5 hour walk around the southern part of the lake and then hopped back on at Lodore Swiss Hotel for the ride back to Keswick. A truly magical way of seeing...

My favourite lake in the whole of the Lake District. Really beautiful if overpopulated in peak months. A must see for beginners...boat rides recommended. Short walk down to Friars Cragg is good...fabulous view at the end and seats available.
Views of Cat Bells across the Lake are excellent. A must see place definitely.
