This was my first lakeland walk, and I have since returned and done the same route again as I enjoyed it so much. We found the best way was to get the boat across to Hawse from Keswick. The view is a great reward for a bit of hard work on the ascent. More

Nice mountain walk, i usually go via Skelgill which has a rocky section near the top, the only downside to Catbells is how busy it is! It's like the M25 for walkers! So you can't enjoy the view for long (if at all!) More

Catbells alone is a lovely walk, however quite rocking on one side of the hill, therefore not a novice walk. Fanstaic views however, even though a little cold! More
