If you're in the Lake District on a rainy day - or any day -, check out the Pencil Mseum. Besides being interesting in itself, you'll have fun telling your friends back home that such a place exists! Spoiler alert: they don't do erasers. More

We had visited this museum when my daughter was a young child but returned again to see what it was about at our own pace. First off the parking. Just happen to come over the museum on a visit to the area last year, well worth the visit, the building contains a café which contains an area where the kids, including big ones can draw while having there refreshments and a shop, there is more to a life of a pencil than you realize and the museum takes you... More

We visit this museum at least once a year as we have family living nearby. It never gets boring and my daughter who is now 8 would go a lot more often if she could. I thought why am i going to a pencil museum but i was actually rather interesting with a video room to explain about where they come from etc, Kids will find it good too you can watch them putting anmes onto pencils too More
