Can't say I would recommend this ''attraction'' to anyone. Catch penny I think is the phrase. Not much to see and the exhibits are....well....pencils and some history behind them. Best save your cash and go for a nice cream tea at a coffee shop in my view. more
Went there with my wife who remembered a box of pencils she was given at school, so ours was a "memory lane" visit. The museum is situated on the edge of Keswick with parking, nobody was available to take payment so we were not sure if we would get a ticket. The museum is quite small and the entrance fee... more
Although the Lake District is overflowing with attractions boh natural and touristy, I have to say this is one of our family favourites. Tucked away in Keswick, the Cumberland Pencil Museum doesn't look like much on the outside, but it is wonderfully entertaining inside.
