Pulled in here for a bite to eat and a little food shopping. The first thing I noticed was the lovely glass doors at the front entrance which have the logo of Rheged on them. Inside is light and airy and has plenty of space to walk about. The car park has lots of space to park your car and... More

Had a meal in the cafe was very nice had the posh fish finger sandwich which was excellent. Was very busy and I think they could of done with more staff but the ones they... More

We went to Rheged last October specifically to see the exhibition of costumes from various films including 'The King's Speech'. It was fascinating, not only from the point of view of the costumes and how beautifully they were made, but also from the point of view of being able to visualise the artists in the films and be able to... I have ben going to Rheged for over 10 years and over tthis time the atmosphere has changed. Mainly down to staff not being as passionate about the job or the centre for whatever reason? A lot of the old attractions have gone and the place has gone through a massive transformation (reading reviews here people think for the worse)... More

Was very disappointed with this 'attraction'. Had heard a lot about it a few years ago and decided to have a look. Theres very little there and what is there is very overpriced! Obviously the recession has bitten this place good and proper. Not sure what they can do with it to be honest. What a shame! More

Although the recession has hit everyone, here at Rheged we are very much full of life and strive to offer attractions for people of every age. 9 shops, 3 cafes, a 3D cinema,... More

Went to the Rheged Centre to visit the 'Originata Historia' (a historical fayre). Whilst the fayre was good for those interested in such things, the venue catering was dreadful. 5 of us ate in the restaurant (no kids). First problem was having to order the food and drinks at the bar, but we couldn't pay for them at the same... More

We had just re-opened this café the day prior following its... More

I live in the area where Rheged is situated and have been visiting this service station for a number of years. There is a lot for Rheged to compete with and it is quite clear they are failing. I used to enjoy going to rheged often and watching the films about cumbria with my wife and then enjoying descent coffee... More

We have been visiting perhaps annually for years now and have seen changes that have diminished our enjoyment of the place. Top floor shop used to be good to browse round and maybe pick up a few presents, now it's all for children (that may be a plus point for you, but not for us) Mountain exhibition was excellent, now... It's called the Rheged Centre in allusion to the (rather obscure) early medieval kingdom of that name, and it used to have a film showing about Rheged's history. So we were a bit disappointed to find that the film was no longer showing. Fair enough, people living nearby have seen it umpteen times, but they should at least have some... More

I had been to rheged before when on business and unfortunately had not been particularly impressed. However, this time i was back in the area with my family so decided to return as the weather was not great and i thought rheged would be an ideal place to spend the afternoon with my wife and two young children. On first... More
