“Breezy boat ride”

Decided on the ninty minute boat trip and sat upstairs. Was absolutley freezing!!! Boat driver very witty and comentary on trip amusing. More

We bought a 24hr excursion ticket. We boarded the boat at Lakeside, visited Bowness and Ambleside and returned to Lakeside. A comfortable, informative excursion. We loved it. More

It was the low season and only me and my wife have book the tour on that day. Instead of cancelling the tour, they brought us on a half day tour without extra charges. Having previously tried to book our tour with Mountain Goat (image is everything) and being advised that the trip was full, we contacted Lakes Supertours for availability, they responded immediately and provisionally booked us on the tour (A). My husband and I did the Mountain Tour, the Lakes Tour and the half day Beatrix Potter Tour. We also stayed 4 days at the Lakes Lodge, owned by Supertours. A lot of background work goes on behind the scenes to make each tour operate; it is a wonderful feeling when all our time and effort is greatly received . Never been on a tour with this company but a friend hired them for a party we went to (because they were cheap!). This showed, the bus was rattly, the driver was rude and had to ask us how to get to the destination which was one of the biggest hotels in Kendal!!! God help anybody going on a tour!!! More

Please avoid this operator. It was our worst experience with these guys. The guide is the most rude and unfriendly person I have ever seen. His driving was so reckless that by the middle of the tour 2 people out of 6 were already sick and were not in a condition to continue the tour. I will never recommend this... More
