There's lots of houses and gardens that are open to the public and this is a good one to visit.The surrounding Vale of Belvoir is a lovely scenic landscape and the gardens are very good .But like all these attractions nowdays can be quite costly for a family day out.We had tha added bonus of a joisting tornament as well. The Duke and his family still live in parts of this house. Great gardens, childrens' play area and good food. Well worth a visit to this grand castle. More

As well as having to pay to go in the gardens and the house there is also a parking fee for the car park. In the car park is a very small cafe which is adequate for a hot drink and a piece of cake but a poor limited choice of prepacked sandwiches. We enjoyed a drink on arrival and... More

We called last year en route Yorkshire. Having gone past many times when it wasn't open, we were looking forward to it. As HHA members we were surprised to be asked to pay a parking charge.
