I regularly walk through this place as I go from A to B in the city. It's central Liverpool's oldest surviving building (c. 1715) and was originally a school. This building is not terribly well signposted and is off the main shopping street in the City centre. In this cultural oasis you will find dinky shops, ever changing exhibitions and reasonably priced fresh food. So if you need a break from the trials and tribulations of Primark then definitely head this way. More

This is a really unusual and interesting place. The original building is a culture vulture's dream on its own. However, step inside and the eclectic collection of restaurants, cafes and art can occupy you for a few hours at least. More
