Having visited the park as a small child and always been in awe of the serenity instilled from the vast gardens and woodland, I enjoyed cycling across the many paths in and around the area of the Country Park Estate on a recent return trip. The Hall is not great architecture, but has a wonderful 'Homely' feel. There is a wonderful Victorian Walled Garden, with a visitor Farm. I especially liked the walks through the extensive woodland - several ponds with dragonflies and damselflies nestling around corners!.
