Went to see Dreamcoats and Petticoats as part of a weeding present bought for us by our friends. Very intimate and friendly venue, welcoming staff, got upgraded and thoroughly enjoyed listening to music from the early 60s [as we are old enough to remember it]. Easy listening and very professional performance. Recommended for genuine lighthearted and enjoyable entertainment. More

Had such a fantastic evening at the Playhouse Theatre. The show was fab and everyone in our party of 12 had a great time singing along and having a boogie. The theatre is lovely and I spent most of the interval looking up at the gorgeous detail on the ceiling. Great theatre, great show - go see it! More

Went to see Petticoats and Dreamboats matinee performance with a party of 30 yesterday. 3/4 of our party have a disability and as such have special needs. We had made arrangements with the theatre as they were able to accomodate 2 people in wheelchairs and another 6 people who could transfer from their wheelchairs. We had been given a number... More

In 1961 talented young musicians Norman and Bobby compete to win the hearts of their adoring female fans - and more importantly, the gorgeous Laura. If you like a show which has the music coming thick and fast then Dreamboats and Petticoats captures the songs of the late 50s and 60s in abundance. Great evening out for all the family.... More

"how Sweet It Is" Motown show - very disappointing, poor sound quality and given the shrieks and actions of a section of the audience during the interval I suspect a mouse may have been on the loose! £2.50 for a small tub of ice cream - shocking. More
