You can spend hours here either just admiring the the site, going into the various exhibitions or visiting the crown jewels. This is English history at its best, the most poignient part being the graffiti scratched on the walls of various rooms where people were incarcerated. a must see on a London trip! to properly see it takes a full day! go early when it opens & see the crown jewels first as the line gets long for those as day goes on make sure you go on a Beefeater guided tour as well! more

If you are going to be in London for any amount of time you have to go to the Tower of London. There is so much history in those walls that have influenced the history of our world. During a recent trip to London, I visited many attractions, and the Tower was by far the best and most worthwhile excursion. At a cost of 17 pounds for an adult admission, the Tower is well worth it: the site is well documented, so visitors less-knowledgeable of history will be able to appreciate the site. My friends and I got to visit the Tower of London in March and we all had a wonderful time. The Beefeater who gave us the tour was extremely funny. This place is amazing. It is a true historic site worthy of a visit from everyone. I've been there twice, but I think once would have been adequate. It is worth a visit and is truly spectacular, but it doesn't change, so once would have been fine, too. more
