On a 3 day trip to London and unfortunately was part of a day I felt could have been spent somewhere else! It is one of the worst Zoo's I have ever been to! Most of the cages were empty and to be honest I have been to much better zoos!! I am extremely pleased I didn't pay full price... more

Tips-put your walking boots on, not your high heels. Long walk from whichever station you arive at-having walked from Regents Park, Great Portland Street, Baker Street and Camden Town, the latter is much quicker, but tis a nice walk across Regents Park frm the other stations-leave 15-20 mins to walk it. Loved all the animals-not too busy even on a... more

I must admit that I love zoos (or anything to do with animals) so I'm a pretty easy sell when it comes to zoos. This one is located in beautiful Regent's Park, and it's an easy stroll over to gorgeous Queen Mary's Gardens after your visit for a picnic lunch or rest, so keep that in mind if you plan... more

Definitely has the potential to be the best zoo in the country, but lacks in wow. A lot of refurbishment is being done at the moment, ruling out seeing some of the most interesting animals e.g Lion. Has very interesting animals such as bearded pigs, tigers, wallabies, pygmy hippos, meerkats etc. One star exhibit at the moment would have to... more

I've been many times and this time was the most disappointing. Too many areas seemed to be in the middle of refurbishment. Night zone was too dark - couldn't see anything. I like meerkats, but they seemed to be everywhere. The outback was dismal showing a lack of ideas. As I've said I've been before and those visits were much... more

I should start of by saying that I love Zoos and animals so this review will probably be biased, London Zoo is a great family day out for animal lovers of all ages. The Animal Adventure Children's area is a fabulous energy sapping area and really engages the children's minds and bodies. There are over 750 species in the zoo... more

The family visited London on the Bank holiday weekend. After seeing posters on the tube the kids wanted to go to London zoo. We had a very enjoyable time, especially in the new childrens adventure area. You can spend the whole day there and see lots of animals close up, the giraffes and meerkats were a favourite. You can then... more

Expectation could be a key issue with this zoo. Having lived in London for many years, I'd picked up that the zoo had faded from it's glory years. A click on trusty tripadvisor confirmed my thoughts, add in a forecast for rain and my trip to the zoo was shaping up to be a bit of a disaster. But it... more

I can understand some of the criticisms but we had a really good day out at London Zoo. We went on a sunny Sat in early May with my parents and our 12month and 2.5 yr old. We went by car arriving at ~10.30am and found the parking (£12) quite easy and close to the main entrance. Queue was very... more
