Even though it is not possible for anyone to visit all museums in the world, but I feel confident to say that this is one of the best. The amount of exhibits of rare items and cultural history from around the world, the displays, the architecture of the museum, everything is top notch. Even though entrance is free, do make... More

It was my third visit to the British museum and every time I found amazing things and every time I know that are things not visited yet. I love to see Sumerians artfacts, so old, the Egiptians, Greeks and Romans, every time I wonder with the Rosetta Stone. This time I take a lunch at the Court Restaurant and the... More

Great museum! I love British museums! Most are free and you can target what you want to see.....dash in......experience the beautiful building and exhibits...and then dash out! Or get lost in the surroundings for the day. More

We spent a morning here, but could easily have spent the day here if we had the time. They sell a nifty "Top 10 Objects to see in 1 hour at the British Museum" laminated guide for 2 pounds which we found to suit our purpose well. It allowed us to make sure we saw all of the highlights. This... More

We visited this museum on our first day in London, still recovering from jet lag. We picked the things we really wanted to be sure to see, and I would recommend this approach. The museum is so full of history that you could easily get lost in here for days at a time. We checked out the Rosetta stone--amazing--and the... More
