The Refinery, what a disappointment! I showed up 10 minutes before my scheduled treatment and had to wait 20 minutes in a tired waiting room, blasting BBC News 24 on a huge screen (why should I see images of terrorist attacks before a relaxing treatment?). No hot drinks were provided, and the only heating system was a portable electric heater... More

The Refinery is heavily promoted as the ultimate male spa getaway in central London and it is quite good, and can be a nice experience, but standards are variable. The decor is modern and relaxed and one is invited in to sit in a comfortable area. Things start with an offer of water - the order usually does not arrive.... More
