lovely to be able to stand on the bridge over the middle of the river and survey the sights of london - could get a job taking photos for other people! Leads straight over towards the Tate Modern - another wonderful photo opportunity there from the cafe balcony More

After the 1st mileneum the Knight Templars, built Bridges which are still standing today. This monstrousity cost a fortune and £millions more had to be spent on it so people could walk on it. The designers should have been hung from the sides of the bridge. More

This is one of those that you need to be a bit "geeky" to appreciate it in full. It is a footbridge (so probably best done on a day when it is not raining!) The structure, building of the bridge and the engineering solutions used are a story all of its own well worth looking into! The bridge has great... More

Taken me 12 years to get there but finally walked across it. Really cool - still cannot quite work out how it works as a suspension bridge without looking like one though. Good views up and down the river especially of the new Shard building and the Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. More

It does the job. It's a bridge. It's not a beautiful bridge. It's not something to go out of your way to see. But, if you want to walk from Tate Modern to St. Paul's without getting wet, this does the job very nicely. More
