We was told to take the tube, because it is so fun. It was hell! Standing room only even at 10pm. The train broke down several times, and we waited each time no less than 15 min. Pay for a cab if you are visiting and not commuting every day. More

Don't get overwhelmed! The Tube is incredibly easy to understand and stops are all over London. There are also signs everywhere to make sure you get to the right stop. Waiting times are very short, but be aware you may need to stand when it's busy. If you are visiting London, don't get too carried away by using the tube... More

The London Underground has got to be one of the best transport systems around. Stations are sprinkled fairly evenly across London and trains are plentiful. Waiting times are short (~3 min) and the trains are mostly well maintained, with a mix of older and newer trains. Many stations' design are unique and worth checking out. Walking distances within a large... More

Bought the Oyster Card at the airport and took the tube to Camden Town with the ease of someone who's lived in London for a long time (it was my first visit to London). Put 30 pounds on the card and took it everywhere for a week--a great value especially when you consider that a taxi ride one-way from the... More

In my first time in London, I had two days off to walk around. As my plan was to see as many touristy places as possible, I planned to use the tube. I bought an Oyster card and threw some credit in it. It was the best thing as it's very practical and efficient and in my opinion it was... More

We got 7-day travelcards from St. Pancrass station as soon as we arrived by Eurostar from Paris, and got the 2 for 1 attraction guide, too, which lists discounts available to holders of these Trvelcards.... However, the Travelcards must be issued at a British Rail station rather than at a Tube station in order to get these discounts. We rode... More

I was really nervous about the tube, worried about it being dirty, smelly etc It was fab, amazingly efficient way to travel around and having an oyster card made it even easier I loved the experience and was surprised how clean and how frequent the tube was I never waited more than 3 mins for a train More
