As the site of the their famous rooftop concert, the building at 3 Savile Row is a must see if only as a quick walk by. We walked over from Piccadilly Square after visiting Abbey Road. More

Sure you can't go up to the roof or even in the building and I believe the facade is somewhat different (might have had shutters on the windows in 69..) HOWEVER just to stand in front of the building (I took a video and printed off some stills) was for me a pretty religious experience..having read a great book detailing... More

Don't get too excited about this property. It was the address of apple from 1968 to around 1972, but has little remaining that dates from this period. The whole of the interior was gutted during renovation in the 1970's and cladding was added to the ground floor facade. There is certainly no recording studio in the basement anymore, and even... All Beatles fans should take the time, while in London, for a quick visit to 3 Savile Row. This famous building is, of course, the former site of the group's Apple Records and the site of the the band's final live performance. Although access is denied to the building or the famour roof, it's still worth spending a few minutes... More
