A surprisingly pleasant strip of pastoral greenery in the heart of north London. Sometime in the 1950s this short stretch of the New River was developed as a park. It trails its way from the poshest part of bourgeois Islington towards St Pauls Road, by which time it is flanked by council housing estates.

Pretty terraces of mixed Georgian artisan cottages and houses with footpath in adjacent park, running beside the New River 17th century aqueduct. There are two pubs one having restricted opening hours.
Part of a longer walk through Islington, stop for coffees in Upper Street or Canonbury Sq.
