the park was taken over by wire mesh fences with boards covering the grass in some places - all part of the preparaton for the London marathon - but did detract from the view when I managed to get to the top of the hill! Can see that it would be lovely if able to wander at will.... More

A lovely park wrecked by the stupidity of the selfish fools who have decided to ship the Olympics horse events there. A hideous scaffolding stand now is a huge blot on the landscape. The Royal Parks adminstrators who permitted this outrage need a good kick up the rear end. To be avoided until 2013. More

My favourite London park, temporarily in use for the Olympics with fabulous views down to Greenwich, the Thames and Canary Wharf beyond. Home of the Greenwich Meridian, Royal Observatory (new planetarium is fabulous) . Park is free, Observatory etc not. Don't pay to stand on the Meridian, walk downhill and you can stand on it for free! More

Very quiet when it's not crowded. Love having picnics here or just sitting around reading. More

The park is quite big and it is better to go there in a sunny day but it is worth to see even raining. I would expect that a symbolic highlighted meridian line. You should walk over the hills and definitely see London view. More

Greenwich park is a jewel in SE London. Beautiful lines of trees, Rose garden and full of amenities. Just by the river on one side and the A2 on the other. A place for a great day out for the family and or friends. Beautifully kept oh and did I mention the views? The deer park? I could go on... More
