I enjoyed this attraction very much. It gave you an idea of what it was like for the English during WWII and there were quite a lot of artifacts and examples of items from that time. They also had a great little movie showing clips of wartime and voiceovers of people that had written letters during the war. This is... more

Massively overpriced (£11.45 for an adult) - me and my fiancee got in using a 2 for 1 discount voucher I found on the web and we still felt ripped off. First section is a recreation of an underground station cum air raid shelter where three short films about Britain and the Second World War are shown. So far so... more

Sorry to say but this really was a let down. At £10.45 (where did the 45p come from?) it did not live up to expectations or value for money. We walked through this experience feeling nothing, smelling very little & the highlight was seeing objects from my Grandmothers house. Sorry London but come on sort out the costs for these... more

Not the best war museum by a long shot, but for a small amateur museum its very good. As you enter theres a video to watch, which I can only assume is a professional documentary, its pretty long but has got some great old footage and is quite poignant. The rest of the museum has an amateur feel but I... more

Firstly let me say that the Battle of Britain is one of my favorite periods in world history. The stoic British attitude and their stamina have always struck a chord in me and I highly respect them for what they went through from 1939 - 1941 especially, but even after the US entered the war what with buzz bombs and... more

Before you go BEWARE. They are so stingy that they won't allow you the web discount voucher price unless you print off one for every single member of your party! How pedantic can you get? It is not cheap and the Imperial War Museum is a far better bet and FREE. The youngest one enjoyed trying on the gas masks... more

I got in here with the London pass (it lets you in to a lot of poor places, and some good ones ) It's rubbish. A 15 min. trip into boredom. Firstly let me say I am 40+ years old, with a teenage son, both interested in the war. Its sad to say that there is no point in visiting... more

The Britain At War Museum (aka Winston Churchill's Britain At War Experience) can be best described as being pathetic. The website claims that the museum features Universal Studio sytle effects, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Their website boasts; "Huddle in the Anderson shelter and hear all the terrifying noises of an air raid overhead" - this is... more

Serious history students seeking insight to Winston Churchill, or Britain's World War Two history, will be disappointed by this London tourist attraction. The site is more tourist trap than museum. Fittingly located just past the even tackier "London Dungeon", the Britain At War Experience is a a very amateurish experience indeed. By all means visit the Cabinet War Rooms and... more
