Really wonderful experience. Boarding was well organised and quick. Staff very efficient and curtious. Food was a set menu and thought I wouldnt like all of it as am quite a fussy eater but all was lovely. The route was to kingswear and back to Exeter with great views. Would go again! More

My sister treated my Mum,myself and my husband to afternoon tea on board the British Pullman to celebrate her retirement. It was particularly special for Mum who had celebrated her 88th birthday a few days before the trip.and it was an Unforgettable Experience for us all. We felt special from the moment we walked into the Pullman Lounge at London... More

I was treated to the trip to Bath for my 60th Birthday, and what a treat it was. From the moment I stepped on the train I was made to feel special. The Stewards were so attentive and polite. The train itself was beautiful, the marquetry, fixtures and fittings were sumptuous. The tables were set with crisp white linen, silver... More

I booked the Orient Express British Pullman to Cheltenham for the Gold Cup in March. I love the old fashioned carriages and the armchair seats. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable journey. However I wrongly assumed that the Orient Expresses name of quality would extend to the whole day. Once at Cheltenham we were transferred to a coach to... More

A trip to me on the Orient-express means history, outstanding service, food and environment and I hoped to find I would leave saying I couldn’t expect better. I had better food and service on the Eurostar business premier. There was no options on the meal we were given, the food was average; the potatoes were greasy which was below average... More

My wife and I received this as a special treat for our birthdays and a treat it was. The journey has been covered in earlier reviews so there is no need to repeat that but what is worth repeating is the service you receive and the ambience of a return to the "old days" of politeness and attention to detail.... On March 3 2012 my friend and I were transported from the mundane hubbub of Victoria Station to the world of 1930s elegance, starting with check in where an amazingly attired throng of that period were gathering. Once on board, the British Pullman Orient Express experience was revealed in all its splendour - beautiful marquetry, furnishings, light fittings and of... More

Four of us took the afternoon trip from Victoria with a Cream Tea. We had a coupe for 4 in Minerva a beautifully built Salon Carriage. Seating consisted of 4 nice armchairs around a dining table. The Stewards were excellent and the food very nice. The trip took us out to Paddock Wood in Kent and then back to Victoria... More

I booked to take my husband on the British Pullman for his 50th Birthday. We went on the Steam Hauled Golden Age of Travel which left London Victoria and went all around Surrey to Shalford then came back via Redhill and Croydon and back into Victoria. The journey lasted just under 4 hours. We were greeted at London Victoria by... More

Whilst we appreciate that it is expensive to run a train of this antiquity and pay staff etc, this was a very expensive day out for what it was. Over £200 each for a 5 hour round trip to Whitstable with a 5 course lunch. The train left an hour late, not necessarily the company's fault but we were given... More

Thank you for your review with regards to your recent experience on board the British Pullman. I am very sorry to read of your disappointment.
