Aside from the station, be sure to check out the old Midland Grand Hotel above/next door. It is quite possibly the finest example of Victorian Gothic architecture in London. If you contact the company developing it and ask very nicely, they may let you join one of the rare walkthroughs of the interior, which is delightfully eerie. Many of the... more

St Pancras Station is a must see for travellers to London, even if you don't ever catch a train! Marked out for demolition in the unenlightened and destructive 1960s, this Gothic Revival gem designed by William Barlow (station) and Sir Gilbert Scott (facade) was saved by Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman, who rallied public support for its preservation. Here at St Pancras International is a easy way to get around. To France on the Eurostar or to England on the east Midlands. A must see for tourists. Plenty of Shops and the worlds Longest champange bar! more
