As I say in the headline, Charing Cross Road is not really somewhere you are going to visit because there is anything very special there, but the chances are that you'll walk along here some time because it joins up Trafalgar Square and Oxford Street and runs parallel to St Martin's Lane and Leicester Square, making it almost impossible to...

What really struck me about this relatively short street is that it is packed with bookstores – some modern and several antique, including one with its origins back in the 1950’s. A busy London street, it is close to Soho and Chinatown. An absolute must for readers and seekers of old literature. Worth a look.
