As a private pilot I have a keen interest in flying and aeroplanes.
The biggest thrill for me was the Sunderland Flying boat and the walk through it was an absolute delight.
It took a full day to fully explore the museum and we would definately be returning in the future.

One of the great museums which houses the past history of RAF aircraft, RAF Hendon is staffed by knowledgeable staff always willing to help and answer questions. A great day out for all ages.

A little out of the way but not far from central London on the Northan Line, just passed Hendon Central. Well worth a visit, A must for plane and military lovers alike!

Visited the RAF museum 4 times. It is definitely the best air museum I've ever seen. If you are a fan, it may take you more than one visit to explore the large quantity and quality of aircrafts displayed. The museum is very close to the tube station at Hendon (Northern line).

This is a hidden gem in North London and is diffenately worth the trip on the Northern Line to Stanmore. The display of aircraft and exhibition dedicated to WWII is a good way to spend a wet / damp afternoon. Very beautiful and historical place with a huge amount of aircrafts, it was one of the most interesting places ive seen in London. Except the food in the cantine, everything was formidable.

Fabulous displays of bombers, fighters, seaplanes, everything, both Allied and Axis. They have some of the last of the great WWI and WWII aircraft in existence.
