Wonderful white limestone clad architecture. It looks absolutely amazing, hidden out in the residential part of Neasden. It was the first, largest traditionally (per Hindu Scriptures) built temple built in the western world. AN outstanding architecture but one can only appreciate the real beauty when exploring the temple inside. The interior boasts with intricately carved pillars, ceilings and a wonderful... More

Neasden is not the area that you would think would contain this attraction. But in the middle of north London sprawl, is this beautiful and interesting Indian Temple. It has, apparently, been transported piece by piece from India and reconstructed here. The outside is spectacular. The inside is very beautiful, especially I thought the wood work. You need to give... More

This is a truly beautiful and out of this world experience. A breathtaking masterpiece! A relaxing and peaceful place, out of the busy hustle and bustle of the city of London. This is a traditional Hindu temple with an excellent exhibition on 'Understanding Hinduism', a book/Hindu artefacts shop, a grand prayer hall. The temple has certain hours of the day... More

Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is totally off-the-beaten-tourist paths in London, but well worth the trip up north. An amazing building and a wonderful experience. We felt transported straight into India. More

A bit of India right in London, the temple looks like it has been there for hundreds of years. The carved white marble is not only stunning on the outside, but the inside is even more breathtaking. Def worth a look during visiting hours (free) and there is a very good informational area on the history of Hinduism (small charge).... More

This temple is founded and run by a sect of Gujaratis and you will find the idols of the founders all over the place. So do not go with expecing to go to a Hindu temple, it is the place of worship of a religious sect built in the appearance of Hindu temple. More

Outside of India, this is one of the most beautiful Hindu temples ever! The temple has intricate, colourful designs, and visitors are warmly welcomed! Public transport is available, but is not very accessible. If you can, try and go around Diwali to see the temple decorated and at its best! More

The temple is really beautiful. There is a small exhibit on hindu religion on the first floor. If you decide to go - mind that it is really off the track - took us 2 hours to get there from the City and you should plan your transportation before hand. I was a bit disappointed I was not allowed to... More
