Found this out of the way pub during a historic walk in London (Frommes 24 Great London Walks. Great atmosphere. Had the Chef's pie of the day (chicken and mushroom) and it was awesome. Very friendly and helpful staff. You have to look for this pub as it is not on the main streets and seems miles away from the... More

As always, The Grenadier was a perfect choice for a great night out in a traditional British pub. We have visited often in the past, but not in the last few years and were nearly put off by the recent negative reviews on food quality and service. Happilly we can report on 19th March, 2012 The Grenadier was as always;... More

We've been going to the Grenadier since what is now the Lanesborough Hotel was St Georges Hospital, in the late 1960s. Then, the pub was virtually an extension of the Medical School bar. Little has changed in the decor but now it is a tourist haunt and we saw no locals there at all when we visited for a meal.... More

I was reccomended this pub and decided to hunt it down. It's in a nice quiet spot but there are quite a few issues. The staff are rather impolite and one barman told a customer (standing next to me) who had ordered a mulled cider that he HAD NOT (in no uncertain terms), when he presenting him with a mulled... WE had been given by our bank some older British pounds that were still legal tender and in fact was taken by our fine hotel but the staff and management at this pub told us they could not accept it and made us feel that we were counterfiters and crooks in front of other customers. We will never recommend it... More

Very good food, a bit pricy but the ambience is terrific and we enjoyed the entire experience. Difficult to find, but just around the corner from Hyde Park Corner Undeground station. More

Great friendly service, funny, lively staff. Great pies and the beer is good. The pub has alot of history and if you want to see a great traditional London pub then this is as good as it gets. More

So you can grab a pint of Bombardier which will slip down quite easily and stand around the garden courtyard, or you can go for supper and get a table (booking a must as there are only a few of these).Either way it gets busy fast.Expect pub grub, perfectly fine and a bargain for the area.Whatever you choose to do...
