We've been going to the Grenadier since what is now the Lanesborough Hotel was St Georges Hospital, in the late 1960s. Then, the pub was virtually an extension of the Medical School bar. Little has changed in the decor but now it is a tourist haunt and we saw no locals there at all when we visited for a meal.... More

WE had been given by our bank some older British pounds that were still legal tender and in fact was taken by our fine hotel but the staff and management at this pub told us they could not accept it and made us feel that we were counterfiters and crooks in front of other customers. We will never recommend it... More

Great friendly service, funny, lively staff. Great pies and the beer is good. The pub has alot of history and if you want to see a great traditional London pub then this is as good as it gets. More
