If you are interested in Napoleonic history along with British military history, this is an excellent start. Wellington was such an interesting person who lived well past the Napoleonic period. This is a not to missed, Wellington was such an important historical figure. Must see!!! Highly recommend! More

This is a small museum, but a great way to while away an hour or so. More

This is really a museum and art gallery contained within a splendid London house rather than the other way around. Some truly amazing 19th century silverware, standards, swords, paintings and personal effects of the Duke of Wellington are displayed here, where great exhibits are literally falling over eachother for space. For good measure, there's an impressive statue of Napoleon (whom... More

We visited this house 21st April and although small, is very interesting and not so big that if you're not a great historian you'll get bored. Included in the entrance fee is an audio guide, with short descriptions of each room or area and additional tales of people that lived in the house, which bring the whole place to life.... More

Beautiful house, magnificent art collection - well worth the 6.50 entry fee. Plan to spend at least one to two hours and make use of the free audio guide. More

Being an english heritage member I got in for free, The upper floors are pretty much just an art gallery (although set in 1 of the finest buildings in london), Theres a room on the ground floor full of all the honours bestowed on Wellington and gifts of silver & gold and the basement is a bit more on his... This is clearly a must in London. Just to see the "Aguador de Sevilla", by Velazquez, is worth the visit, but also you have magnificent other paintings as well as jewels, weapons, furniture and a whole set of historical documents of Wellington. Particularly interesting for Spaniards, who can find lots of traces from the Napoleon battles in Spanish soil. Absolutely... More
