A great experience for the children as they had never done it before and with so much choice they were overwhelmed. More expensive than other toy shops so only worth buying things that you can't buy elsewhere. Some sales staff too pushy but great to watch or try out the specials that the staff demonstrate.

A 7 storey shop filled with any imaginable toy for anyone - young and old. Staff are really friendly and organise activities for children to be entertained whilst parents do the shopping. A must visit whilst travelling to London, in particular Oxford street.

Hamleys was a must see given we were visiting London with young children. Initial impressions are good with dressed up characters greeting visitors outside and then the wow factor for the children as they enter. However, as parents we soon found the whole experience a little chaotic and tiring and the number of floors did not help. Also, whereas high... More

The staff are extremely friendly from the moment they grab your attention on the street, playing with the toys and encouraging the children to join them. Our 10year old loved it although it being his first time in a large toy store he found it a little overwhelming but enjoyed it all the same. The staff were great at getting... More

This place has turned from a toy shop into something like a gift shop in a theme park. Kids run wild, staff act happy and excited and the prices and heart attack enducingly high. I visited to see what the fuss was about, scanned a few items to see the price difference and then left. By the way this is... More

Took the kids here on a recent visit. They were not unhappy with the experience. Staff were helpful and friendly and the guys and girls at the build a bear workshop interacted with the kids. Very good for the family.

What can I say? If you have kids, go to Hamleys! My 10 year old son was dumbstruck as we walked through the door. It's fantastic, all done really well and the staff are great. We also liked the little coffee shop with the cupcakes. Very nice!

We had to call into Hamleys when visiting London at our daughters insistence. It is an Aladdin's Cave with so many toys to suit a wide range of ages. The staff are very helpful and demonstrate toys to add to the fun for the children.

I was a bit reserved about going in at first, as we are a couple with no kids of our own. We went straight up to the top floor, as there are toilet facilties here. Then, we were on the sweetie and cake floor too. Candy cakes had a little cabin in here - unreal cupcakes! There was a huge... More

So much fun and so much do. One of the best things to see/go to in London. We enjoyed this so much. The prices are resolvable no more than what you would expect and the layout and whole atmosphere is great, you aren't pressured into leaving you are left to get along with it all yourself. No matter what age you... More
