If you want to do something touristy, but different, then the Duck tour should be your choice. Other reviews might be unappreciative for the quirky comical commentary offered be the tour guides, but then I think this is all part of it - if you are taking a Duck tour you really should have a sense of humour to begin... more
I wouldn't recommend this tour if you're looking for a serious, fact-filled tour of London but as a quirky, fun and entertaining way to see London it's fabulous. Our guide, Matt, was hysterical. Our tour was part quiz, part karaoke, part interesting fact and part just plain fun. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the entry and exit from the... more
I booked the london duck tour for myself, my friend and my 4 year old son. My friend has lived in london for years, but never dared go on it without a child!!! I have to say, it was absolutely fantastic!!! our guide, Nav, was telling some well rehearsed gags that made us groan, but i have to say he... more
Like a previous posting, the Ducktour does seem to employee shall we say 'unusual' tour guides which is not to everyone's taste. Our guide spent far too long trying to be a stand-up comedienne and this detracted from the useful information she did at times give out about the sights along the way. I wasn't expecting (or wanting) it to... more
My daughter, grandson and myself booked to go on the tour on Sunday 19th July. We were very disappointed, it was not until we boarded the bus that we were told that we would not be going to see the London landmarks we expected to see. Apparently there where a lot of roadworks and traffic, bearing in mind it was... more
I took a class of pupils on this trip and they loved it. Said it was the best toyr ever. Hugely brilliant- would just recomend that they put glass in windows as u end up very low and water was going in the girls mouths, otherwise i thouraly recomend it more
The tour itenerary is okay (although you don't see Buckingham Palace) and it's a decent value (we paid only $25 per head). The vehicle is pretty comfortable and the river portion is fun. But in our case the American tour guide (Kiki) was so stilted and hokey that it detracted from the experience. The eye-rolling among our fellow passengers comfirmed... more
I was running a bit late, so was one of the last to get onto the Duck, which meant that I had one of the aisle seats. Nothing majorly wrong with this, but if you are looking to get some good photos try and aim for a "window" seat. Plus, it was very, very cold, but that's hardly the company's... more
Went on a London Duck tour during Feb 1/2 term visit to do the sights in London. Not a huge tour - starts near the London eye, drives round Westminster only, but passes Downing St, the Houses of Parliament, the side of Buckinham Palace, none of which you see too clearly. However the joy of the tour was the amusing... more
