Unfortunately, the car park was being altered, which meant that parking bays were fewer than on our previous visit and no disabled bays seemed apparent. We were one of several couples who were pretty annoyed that the pay and display machines were out of order and, when you rang the number to pay by phone (What people who don't have... More

I had been really looking forward to seeing the London Philharmonic Orchestra here and it was a huge let-down. I should have known better when the tickets were so cheap. I even asked the woman on the phone why it was so inexpensive to see a symphony in the best seats and she laughed and assured me that it was... More

Decided on the spur of the moment to see if there were seats for a concert on the night of our arrival in London and found that the Philharmonia Orchestra were performing two favourite Beethoven symphonies [ Nos 1 and 3 ] and a modern violin concerto, unknown to us, by Unsuk Chin. What a thrilling evening we had. The... More

It seems rather mean of a couple of reviewers to judge the Royal Festival Hall harshly on the basis of one production that they didn't like. A simple Google search ought to have told them that Slava's Snow Show would last about 90 minutes, including one interval. Yes, it was very expensive; I suspect that this sort of thing costs... More

We went to the Slava Snow Show last night. We bought mid range (£37.50) tickets in the rear stalls. Having read good reviews and anticipating an exciting and rich show it was a shame to be let down. Its fair to say that at 30min for Part 1 and the same for Part 2 the show is criminally short for... More

Last week we came up to the Christmas Market which was wonderful, very pretty, lots of interesting and unusual things on sale. The Christmas lighting was lovely. The food market was good too. We had a coffee in Eat and then ice skated under the London Eye. I hadn't been to the Southbank in years and was amazed at how... More

We saw Slavas Snow show at the Festival Hall (Christmas 2011) at a cost of £47.50 each. This is a very interactive show with much audience participation unless you are sat on the Balcony where we were. No involvement, No interaction, No fun. Yes a good view but no interaction... Not to mention that the show minus intervals lasted only... More

Had an enjoyable evening. Sound quality of the hall was great at the consert. Bar staff had not poured the inverval drink so would have been quicker to buy at the interval. More

I love the architecture, it's a gem inside, a testament to cutting edge 50's design and now 60 years old. It was built as a testament to the Festival of Britain, 1951. I'm a member, so I enjoy access to the top floor members room, with its great views of the Thames. It can be accessed via the 'singing' glass... More
