Watched a fantastic performance of Madame Butterfly but have been to the venue on several occasions before and have always had an enjoyable time. Only downside went for the Balcony seats for Madame Butterfly and the singers voices were slightly lost up there. I know you're not paying as much but still expect a better sound quality. In these times... More

The Coliseum is of course the home of English Nation Opera and it is the Opera performances that we have attended frequently over the last few years. We also frequent the Royal Opera House so it's interesting to note how different they are. We've seem some outstanding performances here, including our all-time favourite - their production of the Mozart's The... More

Saw the ballet Anna Karenina here last night. Wow. It was amazing- the choreography and dancers were spectacular. I think it was a visiting show but still- spectacular amazing! Gorgeous theatre too and right by Leicester Square and Covent Garden so nice place to go for dinner before hand is guaranteed. More

Outstanding production. The conducting, the stage set, the costumes, and the production humour and details were a veritable 'tour de force'. The singing, as usual, was first rate. After dismal Mozart and ruined other self-important productions this was superb! Ranks with Alcina and The Mikado as the very best the ENO can do when it is not diverted from the... More

London has two main opera companies, the Royal Opera (based just down the road at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden) and English National Opera. It is in general fair to say that the Royal Opera is by far the more renowned. Singers at ENO are among the finest in this country, but they are not necessarily among the finest... More

Went to see the Nutcracker in Dec 11. The place is pure opulence, and the Ballet blew us both away. I highly recommend this place, with its champagne bars to boot. Dont be late though!! or you might have to stand!! :) More
