The Old Vic is a beautiful and historic theatre rather oddly located today off Waterloo Road. I imagine when it was built the are was quite different. Photos off Laurence Olivier and Ralph Richardson adorn the walls to remind you of the history. A non subsidised theatre which its on interesting work of high quality under the artistic direction of...

This is London theatre at its best. A beautiful interior with magnificent sets, superbly managed with some of the very best acting talent in Britain today - a must-see if in London.
The Duchess of Malfi is a grand tragedy and a wonderful evening of drama, with all the lead roles just amazingly performed. As with all the plays here,...

The Old Vic is one of the classic theatres in London with a wide range of plays and a number of well known actors (e.g. Kevin Spacey).
I visited a performance of 'As you like it' 2 years ago, but I was not too amazed by it. It was well enough acting and a nice scenery, but they didn't cut...

[ well half of it!] I reckon I've got a reasonable sense of humour, which is why we went, but this was beyond the pale. The reviews, as usual , were almost beside themselves, so it had to be...

Noises Off at the Old Vic, definitely to be recommended. Plates of sardines coming and going everywhere, doors slamming, much to laugh at - but Janie Dee whizzing up and down those stairs in high heels, very impressive.

My husband and I saw this show last night. Having no idea of what the show was actually about apart from reading a short synopsis the show really took us by surprise as it was much funnier than we had expected. We just had time to order a drink to take in with us together with a half time order....
