My first visit to Excel was to Grand Designs live. It is easy to find with ample parking below the centre. The parking id Pay and Display with typical prices for London. It was a short walk through the Car Park to the central corridor where the was ample toilets , seating and places to grab something to eat.

Excellent venue for shows and displays. Have been here a few times now. Food and drink a bit pricey though. Always clean and parking is great, but again expensive. Would recommend for exhibitors.

This is a great venue for an event or conference, but the choice, charge and quality of the food outlets is difficult if you are to be there longer than one day. The loos varied condiserably in cleanliness and safety oflocation.

1 Kilometer Long Photographic montage - this is a world record attempt never before undertaken by one crazy individual. Just visited Grand Designs Show at Excel, London. Great venue, the exhibition halls beat Earls Court or Olympia hands down.
If you are driving it's easy to find and the facilities and car parking are very good with well apportioned parking spaces.

The place looks really ugly from the outsdie BUT not inside.
The Suites are distributed along a 400m long area, so if you are at one end and have to reach the other end in 15 minutes you have to ignore your colleagues and walk straight ahaed.
Nearby hotels are all within walking distance but the area is not reassuring...

We attended EXCEL for the London Dive Show. It is easy to find on the Docklands Railway and hotels are literally opposite the entrance.
What we liked:
Finding it, having the option of hotels on site, easy connections to London via the DLR railway, plenty of options for food, reasonably priced cloakroom, very friendly staff and plenty of clean toilets...

Visited the beauty show. First time ever been to Excel. usually go to NEC Birmingham. I found excel to outdo NEC in every way except access by road. We travelled by taxi from the city, and so did everyone else by the grid lock we experienced. I am sure that travelling by the DLR would have been a better option....
