Beautiful, historic bookstore oozing ambiance with an amazing selection of books. I could have spent the entire day quite happily perusing the shelves. I saw a 2012 calendar for sale of "The Most Beautiful Bookstores of Europe," and Daunt was featured one month. That should tell you something right there! More

I am lucky enough to have just moved to the area recently and Daunts is almost on the doorstop, I have probably visited 10 times in about two weeks, for gifts, myself .... the place is warm and friendly ... the staff are amazing and seriously know their stuff without being pretentious ... The best part are the fabulous staff who are knowledge without being snobbish. Helpful and genuinely excited about sharing literature. It is almost enough to make me move from 3500 miles away! More

This is how a bookshop should be! No ridiculous 3 for the price of 2 piles by the door, great staff, a relaxed atmosphere and most of all wall to wall packed with books you would love to delve into. More

Daunts is a lovely olde worlde bookshop on Marleybone High Street. The interior is charming, especially towards the back of the shop which has a wooden gallery as the second storey. Books are not alphabetically displayed, they are geographically displayed. Therefore if you are visiting say ,Greece, you will find all their books on this subject grouped together, both fiction...
