I visited MIMA with a couple of my friends and we all thought it was was worth the visit. Although I thought that Sean Scully's 'Change and Horizontals' exhibition wasn't quite as good I expected i did think parts of it were quite interesting. Also, the other painings were all very good, and the 'Up the Boro' exhibition was interesting....

I visited the MIMA gallery with my friends and we rather enjoyed our experience. The gallery is very child friendly with many day time activities which are free. They also have a cafe which if we'd have had more time we'd have definitely visited as it looked lovely. The art there is generally good and I was particularly interested in...

I went here with my friend who is in a wheelchair. We usually met there for a coffee, as the cafe was quite nice. We decided to go around one of the exhibitions. There were no automatic doors for my friend. What was worse is that the display tables were so high that he could not see most of the...

Mima is Middlesbrough's un-sung gem. Even if you are not a modern art buff there is a very good reason for popping by - there is an excellent little cafe at ground floor level - good priced, clean, pleasant staff. Even if I'm dashing about solo its an excellent place to pop by to get a cuppa and a bite...

The best thing about MIMA used to be Cafe Prego but sadly it's no more and the current set up offers poor quality food and drinks in comparison. MIMA is a fantastic building but it needs to offer much more exciting exhibitions if it's to draw people in and survive. The much heralded Christmas market there had a total of...

We were taken to the gallery by friends who new I was interested in art.
Given that the mima say's it's is one of the UK's leading galleries for modern and contemporary art and craft I was disappointed.
The cafe was good.

Sadly he Baltic gets much better art exhibitions. Every time I've been the art is disapointing, poor and uninspiring. Would rather the money have been spent on the Captain Cook museum which really does bring people to Teesside. So they got a Picaso, big deal he did some good stuff but loads of poor stuff too.
