My daughter's wedding and afternoon reception was hosted by the Treasurer's House April 2011. It was lovely in every way. The staff were very attentive and eager that everything was perfect. The event was memorable for all the right reasons. Thanks to the staff who made it as relaxed and enjoyable as it was. More

The place name is a little misleading as the last gentleman to own this property was in business and not a Treasurer. Look for the studs in the floor that were placed there so his staff always returned the furniture to the correct place! More

We did the cellar tour and listened to the ghost story. Half an hour duration and worth the £5. Going to visit YouTube now and watch the video our tour guide told us about More

An interesting place. very much a museum of one man's collection. Therefore has to be understood from that angle. Happy not to take the optional servants and attic tour....why do so many properties think we want to know about below stairs! Good waitress service restaurant in basement More

This is a mish-mash of a made-up interior by a wealthy industrialist but it's wonderful! The ghost tour to the cellar is spooky. Try the tea room for great toasted teacake and Yorkshire tea. It's great value and the service is great. Join the National Trust so that you can get repeated entry to this lovely house. More

If you're visiting the Minster, you mustn't miss this, especially if you're a National trust member. Frank Green modified the house in a considerate and tasteful way so it still keeps its original charms. The staff were very well informed and friendly and gave us a lot of their time pointing out details in the rooms and explaining the history.... More

We had a brill 4 hours - the house itself plus the Attic and Cellar tours. Frank Green was a star!! and to be on the site of the famous Roman soldier ghosts was a real event!! More
