the shambles is so cute, i would love to live on the street its gorgeous. its not very pushchair friendly though as everything is small, but thats its character.

I just love wandering down this narrow street imagining what life was like in the past. Prefer approaching from the top and walking down.

Walked up the Shambles, but thought it would be much better than it was. There are other streets which are much quainter - especially the one where the Punch Bowl pub is.

it was lovely walking round those little cobbled lanes, with the tiny little shops..as long as you are wearing suitable footwear being as those cobbles and not good under foot!

Loved the old crooked buildings in the narrow lanes, so quaint & quirky. The Shops & Coffee places are great. Just loved being there

What is there not to like about the Shambles. Its nice just to stroll down the Shambles at any time of the day or evening. Really nice selection of shops and eating places. You must visit the Shambles on a visit to York.

A weekend away in the snow but around the shambles every day it was luvly, shops galour, places to eat and drink, a favourite place in york

Just a nice old area to visit and look at the shops and take in the atmosphere. There is nothing to dislike.

It was great to wander around the area and take in all the old historic architecture and alley ways.
