Located in the walls of York, this is a small museum, but lots of fun. Packed with information about Richard 111, in one of the rooms a small courtroom has been set up, where you can examine the evidence and decide for yourself whether Richard was guilty of the murder of the Princes in the Tower or not. The information... More

It costs £2.50 for an adult to get in. This may not seem a lot but for how small it is and what's there it's overpriced. As a young couple we didn't enjoy it and wont be going back or recommending it to anyone. It's very boring. More

Located in one of the gatehouses along York City Walls, the museum is reached up a narrow staircase. Inside, there are effectively two attractions. The first is the venue itself - your admission fee would be justified by the chance to explore this gatehouse and its original features. The second, and main, attraction is the museum's exploration of Richard III's... More

It has some interesting parts to it, but it's location and size makes it difficult to get into. You always feel like you are bumping into people. More

Lets face it, the fee is small. Having said that, don't waste your time. Keep going, carry on for your walk on the wall, and instead stop for coffee at Walmgate. Seriously good coffee. More

I'm glad it's here, but I wish it was run by someone else. In a potentially beautiful space, you get an interesting story that's so poorly and incoherently presented that it becomes boring and meaningless. Hundreds of curling sheets of laminated A3 are, almost randomly, tacked to boards covered in whatever fabric off-cuts could be culled from local haberdashers at... More

We found the Richard III museum inside the Monkbar of York City walls whilst doing the walk along the walls. It was only £2.50 for admission and so we decided to have a look inside and were delighted to discover that in fact it is included in teh Yorkshire Pass and so cost us nothing on top of what we...
