Aesthetically stunning; undoubtedly. The ruins of this previously grand monastery enjoy ample information plaques and seating surrounded by pretty signposted flower gardens.
It's proximity to the York Museum makes it a must visit.

We would have missed this if we had not bought the Audioguide at The Visitor Centre for York Walls. It was incredible stepping into the Museum Gardens and being confronted with the ruins. Very picturesque and very interesting history. Will put this down for a must see in York. And if you are a keen photographer, you will certainly enjoy...
