I cannot see why the other reviweres were so disapponted. The boat leaves from The Kings head pub and goes along the river for about 40mins. The driver provides some really informative commentry about the history of York as you ride along the river. Yes, it does go up and down the river, but where else could it go? The... more

we went on the river boat and was thoroughly dissapointed, the boat went up river then reversed went down the other side of the same river and reversed again, in total we spent 30 minutes going down the same stretch of river all for the cost of £14 for two people. Charged £7 each for a trip back and forth along the same stretch of river, not worth the money and not very informative either. more
