What a super star Althorp House is. We held our company Christmas party there last Saturday and it was the best we have had. The house, staff and food could not have been bettered. Everything ran so smoothly. A big thank you to everyone involved in ensuring the success of this event More

We visited here with no great hopes but couldn't have wished for a better day. The Diana exhibition is very well done and the house and grounds are beautiful in their own right. We had sandwiches at the Stables cafe and they were very fresh and worth every penny. The gift shop is not overstocked and only had quality gifts... More

House ground floor, garden and Diana exhibition in stables wheelchair friendly. Not able to visit 2nd floor if wheelchair user. But still lots to see without going up to 2nd floor. Quality gifts in the shop. Good value for money visit. Easy to park. More

I visted Althorp on Sunday 28th August. I have visited at least 6 times previously, including the year following Diana's death. Unfortunately we had to queue at least 25 minutes to get into the park. There was only 1 cashier taking money, which was extraordinary considering the number of people wishing to visit that day (it was a bank holiday... More

Generally a nice house and some pretty gardens. I feel that it may be overpriced when you can compare to what you spend at some more beautiful and interesting national trusts sites. The princess diana display is well presented but at times at a little ott. We left feeling a bit disappointed, if you want a beautiful and well presented... More

I had doubts about getting to Althorp, but took the hour long train out to Northamshire followed by about a 15 minute taxi ride and had no problems going or coming. The grounds were lovely and the stable and estate house impressive. The 300 acre estate had been in the Spencer family for 500 years. Diana used to tap dance... More

The recent August reviews give a good idea of what to expect. A local friend from London graciously agreed to drive me up to Althorp as it does not seem many tour busses from London come anymore. The ease of the walk from the parking area to the stables - and house to the pond is relative - for some... More

I promised a relative that I would take her here for the day and duly purchased tickets for both of us. Cost 31.90 though hers were two pounds less as she is a senior. The house is open to the public from 1st July to 30th August which are the birthday of the late Diana Princess of Wales and the... More

Althorp House is on a large estate surrounded by beautiful countryside. The entrance to the estate is about 9 miles from junction 18 of the M1. The parking is in a field opposite the main entrance and is free. Take anything you will need during your visit with you ( ie:picnic} as the ticket is not valid for re-entry. Upon... More
